Dee & Eric – Harper Fowlkes + Jepson Center – Savannah wedding

I looooooooooooooooooooved shooting Dee & Eric’s wedding in Savannah this past Spring.  It was the perfect blend of Savannah’s historic & romantic charm with crisp modern details.  The day started with the gals getting ready at the gorgeous Harper-Fowlkes House – a beautiful historic house turned museum + venue in Savannah that offers a splendid array of fine antiques on which I photographed Dee’s amazing bridal accessories… Harper Fowlkes House Jepson Center Savannah Wedding Harper Fowlkes House Jepson Center Savannah Wedding

I was completely head over heels in love with Dee’s gown – a delightfully playful design from Hayley Paige – the rhinestone bow still has me swooning! A very clean palette carried throughout the wedding – from the white & silver florals to the crisp and modern paper goods. Ethereal wedding inspiration

You may have seen this shoot show up in the beautiful pages of Smitten (Issue #10) or on the Weddings Unveiled blog, but I’m super excited to finally share it in its entirety.  It sure did take me long enough as this was shot on the coldest day of January in Savannah.  I know this because this is the gorgeous home of talented Shea Slemmer (super talented painter) – and this part of her house has no roof.  Or heat.  But it didn’t stop us from making a whole lot of pretty – the biggest thank you ever goes to Lauren Davis for getting into a metal tub in a wedding dress.  (Don’t worry, no models were hurt).  Feast your eyes on this ethereal goodness. Jenn & Seth – an urban Atlanta engagement

I could not wait to meet Jenn & Seth for their engagement session in Atlanta – we had not yet met face to face but I knew we would be instafriends.  These two fell in love while attending SCAD and both work in creative fields.  They love pups and craft brews and were planning a fun, laidback wedding – it was a no brainer that we’d be a good fit.  I met them at The Stacks in Atlanta – a hip loft apartment complex with industrial architecture that made me swoon – and then took advantage of the über adorable Cabbagetown neighborhood nearby.

Stephanie & Josh – Pulaski Square & Olde Pink House wedding – Savannah

Stephanie & Josh’s wedding was one of my favorites this year.  Probably because these two are sweet and badass all at once.  Stephanie is a derby girl and made me a happy photographer when she revealed to me she was wearing a black lace wedding gown (adore her!) and Josh is a super tatted awesome dude who is probably the sweetest groom I’ve ever met.  He has impeccable taste and all of his attire was custom made (adore him!).  Photographing them getting ready at the Hamilton Turner Inn was a visual feast.

One of the most thoughtful details was that Josh found a wine from the year he and Stephanie started dating for the reception – LOVE this! Olde Pink House Savannah Wedding

Gerica & Aaron – downtown Decatur engagement session

I couldn’t be more excited for these two kids.   Gerica was one of my student workers when Martin and I lived in Knoxville and I was working at UT.  This was the time that I really got into shooting weddings and from the very beginning Gerica loved me and my work.  She’s pretty special like that.  And ever since, she always assured me that when her time came, I would be photographing her wedding.  Then she met this cute boy and I can’t really blame her for wanting to spend the rest of her life with him.  He’s pretty awesome like that.

We met in downtown Decatur for a fun afternoon of silly engagement photos – these two are the cutest!  I absolutely cannot wait to photograph their sweet wedding in Nashville THIS WEEKEND!!!
